The Best Deadly Poisons: Number Ten

For the next 10 days we will explore the ten deadliest poisons around, from number ten (pretty darn deadly) to number one (the most deadly). This is meant as a fun exercise, obviously use this information at your own risk as this is just some fun scientific facts :) [e.g. don't use this to determine what to put in your enemies coffee or something!]

Compound 1080
This one can be inhaled or ingested and was originally developed as an animal poison, it proved just a little too effective. Anyway, the bodies of any creature killed with this compound remain poisonous themselves for as long as a year. The compound is odorless, tasteless, water soluble, and there is no antidote. Wanna hear the most messed up part? Here's how it works, is basically blocks cellular metabolism, leading to a quick but remarkably painful death. Imagine being hungry but your body not being able to use the food. That would suck.
